Our History
After seven years working in the harsh environment of the oilfield, our CEO / President Brett Olson took a year off and went to College to learn Computer Aided Drafting and Design in 2002. The other classes were fluid mechanics, static and strengths, and engineering materials. With no money he quickly went back to work in the oilpatch. It wasn't until he started Blacksmith Oil Tools in 2017 that he started drawing again. Now with a library of downhole tool designs, three patent applications, and a large customer base in two Countries. Taking a year off to go to school may have been the smartest thing he did.

Our Products
Shown here is our 10,000 psi hydraulic coil dimple kit. It's lighter and more powerful than our competitor. Plus it has motorcycle hand grips....vroom! The idea when this neat little package was designed was to have it come in a kit like IKEA. Once received you assemble it. This was going to be available on our online store and would be easy and cheap to ship overseas.
